The aim of occupational therapy is to help patients regain their ability to perform day-to-day tasks altered due to injury, illness, or even disability. Our home-embedded program for occupational therapy is very flexible in terms of each patient's individuality in advancing independence, self-confidence, and quality of life.
This is meant for those who are recuperating from a stroke, neurological disorders, surgery, or even mobility issues pertaining to aging. Our occupational therapists will engage the patient and create a personalized plan highly individualized for the patient's performance of activities of daily living such as dressing, cooking, grooming, and chores.
The functional aspects under consideration include cognitive functioning, the ability to effectively use hand-eye coordination as well as sensory integration aspects aimed at achieving total rehabilitation. Recommendations for assistive devices, as well as suggestions for alterations in the house to increase safety and mobility, can be made by the therapists.
Therapy practiced at home gets the patient to engage in doing real-life activities in their actual environment and proves to be much more effective and functional. Family and caregivers will also aid in this process, thus forming a continued supportive environment for long-term success. Returning to independent living, inspiring the individual to live fully, despite their challenges, is our mission.
